Barsinghausen (Ger) August 4 – 18
The European Congress in Barsinghausen (near Hannover) set a new record for number of participants. The Congress was well organized and the weather showed its face from the good side.
The tournament for the European Championship had eight participants. Three people finished first:
Wichard von Alvensleben (Gцttingen), Jurgen Mattern (Berlin) and Max Rebattu (Amstelveen). Based on the then rules,
Von Alvensleben retained his European title.
